Not easy to handle paraphilia patients. Because they often do not want or feel don’t need to get therapy. However, there is some need of psychiatric treatment can be tried. First, make psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches (to dig past experiences that cause psychiatric disorders).
Second, conduct behavioral therapy consisting of aversive conditioning, conditioning stimulus to cause (stimulus) to the opposite sex. Or measure the level of pleasure with penis pletismometris. Prof. of this therapy. Adimoelya Arif, an expert from the androlog Faculty of Medicine, University of Airlangga, aversion therapy is necessary to remove existing conditioning or the things that cause psychosexual disorders.
Patients were given electric shocks while presented with pictures or movies of sexual deviations. Especially in voyeurism and ekshibisionisme, patients should be subtly encouraged to communicate directly bolder with the opposite sex, which is expected eventually to dare to direct body contact. Or people are taught that fear and shame to reveal the true sexual desires.
Third, because most patients have the nature of social skill deficiencies (social skills), then they need to be included in therapy programs that teach social skills and empathy for the world around him. Plus individual behavior therapy.
Fourth, pharmacological therapy which includes giving female hormones, anti-androgens, and the class of drugs inhibiting the recycling of serotonin which is usually used to treat depression patients but the success of this therapy was more likely caused by a decrease in appetite lust. This therapy may be more effective in paraphilia be hiperseks patient.
Fifth, no less important interest of the patient community. They should not be dismissed but given the direction to try to eliminate those embarrassing habit. (Rhold_prhnd)
